April in Norway sees the start of wild garlic season. In some places that might pass unnoticed but in Norway it's a big thing amongst foragers and everyone is out and about looking for ramsløk (wild garlic). It grows abundantly in most locations but over picking in certain areas has made it vulnerable and rarer and we have to observe the rules and regulations carefully so as not to force this useful plant into obscurity.
